Location: A49 Mersey Street, Warrington on the left-hand side of the road when travelling in the direction of Winwick, between Bank Street and Acadamy Street.

Enforcement Length: Runs between Bridgefoot Island to Smith Street.

SPEED LIMIT: 30 mph

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in November 2004.  Within this stretch of road there have been 14 collisions over 3 years resulting in 18 casualties. Speed surveys show that 59% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of the camera is to to ensure compliance with the 30 mph speed limit on the dual carriageway in an urban area.
