Location: A49 Winwick Road, Warrington ,  between Longford St and Long lane in the central reserve and monitoring traffic in both directions, to Winwick Quay and Warrington Town Centre.

Enforcement Length: Runs between 130 metres south of Longford Street and Long Lane roundabout.

SPEED LIMIT: 40 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in  April 2003 . Within this stretch of road there have been 37 collisions over three years resulting in 54 casualties - .(a)towards Warrington  14 collisions resulting in 20 casualties  b) towards Longford 23 collisions resulting in 34 casualties) . The aim of the camera is to ensure compliance with the 40 mph speed limit on a dual carriageway, in an urban and industrial area. This road has numerous junctions an the area is used by pedestrians, schools, colleges and industrial areas.
