Location: On A537 Buxton New Road, Near Wildboarclough.

Enforcement Length: Runs between 100 metres North West of Buxton Old Road to 100 metres West of the A54.

Speed Limit: 50 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in May 2003.  Within this stretch of road there have been 21 collisions over three years resulting in 38 casualties. Speed surveys show that 10% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of enforcement is to ensure compliance with the 50 mph speed limit whilst travelling on a high-speed rural road, subject to high levels of seasonal motorbike use.
