Location: On A538 Manchester Road, Macclesfield on the left-hand side of the road when travelling in the direction of Macclesfield town centre, just after its junction with Badger Road, and prior to Tytherington High School.

Enforcement Length: Runs between Beechwood Mews to Dorchester Way.

Speed Limit: 30 mph

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in  August 2004. Within this stretch of road there have been 8 collisions over 3 years resulting in 11 casualties. Speed surveys show that 63% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of the camera is to ensure compliance with the 30 mph speed limit on a downhill gradient on an urban road, prior to the high school.
