Location: on A556 Chester Road, Bucklow Hill on the left hand side of the road between A5034 Mereside Road and A50 Warrington Road.

Enforcement Length: Runs between Junction of A5304 and A50 which equates to a site length of a 1000 m.

Speed Limit: 50 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in April 2003. Within this stretch of road there have been 19 collisions over 3 years resulting in 29 casualties. Speed surveys show that 18% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of the camera is to ensure compliance with the 50 mph speed limit on a two lane single carriageway road. This road is subject to significant HGV traffic (with 40mph limit) between M56 and M6.
