Location: A556 Chester Road, Delamere on the left hand side of the road after its junction with Station Road when travelling in the direction of Manchester, and opposite the Vale Royal Abbey Arms public house.

Enforcement Length: Enforcement runs between Station Road and Waste Lane.

SPEED LIMIT: 50 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in  March 2004. Within this stretch of road there have been 14 collisions over 3 years resulting in 33 casualties. Speed surveys show that 77% of traffic exceeds the speed limit.The aim of the camera is to ensure compliance with the 50 mph speed limit whilst travelling on a high-speed rural road.
