Location: A557 Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn to Clifton. On the left-hand side of the carriageway when travelling on a downhill gradient towards Clifton roundabout.

Enforcement Length: Runs between 400 metres north of north roundabout of M56 junction 12 on Clifton Hill down to the junction.

SPEED LIMIT: 60 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in  April 2003. Within this stretch of road there have been nine collisions over three years resulting in 16 casualties. Speed surveys show that 20% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of the camera is to ensure compliance with the 60mph speed limit on a dual carriageway road before traffic enters a busy junction. This road is subject to significant HGV traffic (with 50 mph limit).
