Location: Birchfield Road, Widnes.

Enforcement Length: Runs between Pit Lane and Rose View Avenue.

SPEED LIMIT: 30 MPH

Notes: This camera joined the National Safety Camera Programme in March 2003.  Within this stretch of road there have been 10 collisions over 3 years resulting in 19 casualties. Speed surveys show that 54% of traffic exceeds the speed limit. The aim of enforcement is to ensure compliance with the 30 mph speed limit in an urban area.
