Cheshire Safer Roads Partnership (CSRP) is a multi-agency Partnership committed to saving lives on the roads of Cheshire, Halton and Warrington. Our goal is to save lives across the roads of Cheshire, making it a safer place in which to walk, ride and drive.
Through a mix of education, engineering and enforcement, we aim to reduce the numbers of deaths and injuries on our roads with a long-term commitment to making positive changes in the public’s attitude towards road user behaviour. The CSRP recognises that reducing road casualties cannot be achieved overnight – we need to work together with the public to identify, improve and implement our strategies in tackling road safety issues across Cheshire.
Education and publicity through our various campaigns is aimed at encouraging a change in road user behaviour and attitude so that dangerous driving practices become viewed as socially unacceptable.
Enforcement addresses illegal driving practices such as speeding, mobile phone use whilst driving, non-wearing of seat belts, drink/drug and dangerous driving, motorbike offences and incorrect use of child seat restraints.
Engineering opportunities to reduce casualties continue to be identified and implemented by Partnership experts.
The agencies that make up the CSRP are listed in the links on the right.
