Cheshire Safer Roads Partnership actively works with local communities to discuss, develop and implement road safety campaigns and initiatives in your area. Road safety affects everyone and we can all play a part in making the roads of Cheshire safer.

We want you to get involved in road safety in your area. Let us know if you have a perceived road safety issue, such as speeding. There are a number of initiatives we can consider to help tackle the problem, including Speed Indication Devices, Community Speed Watch, wheelie bin stickers, as well as mobile camera enforcement. For example, we have funded an initiative in Halton called Stop the Drop after local residents highlighted the issue of young people dropping objectives from bridges across roads.

Throughout 2010, we’ll also be asking you for your views on road safety – what really matters to you and your community, and how would you like the CSRP to respond? We’ll be sending postal questionnaires, running polls on this website and regularly meeting with local communities.

In the meantime, if you want to get in touch, use the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page to send in your query or comment. We’ll get back to you.

Teachers

For teachers, we have a wide range of educational initiatives and resources we can provide for all year groups, from primary school children right through to sixth form young adults.

Parents

We also have lots of resources for parents of children at all ages – from helping your young ones learn about the road and its dangers, to helping your child learn to drive and making the step into becoming an independent driver.
