It is likely that in the next 12 months at least 65 people will lose their lives and a further 600 plus will be seriously injured.
Nationally there are over 3000 road deaths per year with more than 30,000 people suffering serious injuries and a quarter of a million people with slight injuries.
Family, friends, colleagues, the community, wider public and ecomony are all in some way likely to be affected by these tragic facts.
"Too many people are dying our roads"
What makes this information even more distressing is that most road crashes are preventable. The overwhelming majority of people hurt on our roads are caused by road users themselves, either through misjudgement, impairment or bad practice.
