Each of the key agencies within this Partnership has made safer roads a high priority, and through our joint endeavours, we will strive to ensure that the determined progress made towards reducing casualties on our roads, continues.
The cold statistics surrounding road death and injury, mask the immense pain, suffering and financial hardship experienced by individuals, when loved ones are hurt and killed on our roads. The Partnership will fully utilise the skills and abilities at its disposal to address this unnecessary pain and suffering through a co-ordinated and targeted approach to road safety.
Each partner brings a wealth of expertise and resources that will assist in saving lives on the roads of Cheshire, Halton and Warrington:
Cheshire Constabulary will enforce at known casualty hot spots, whilst, Cheshire County Council, Halton and Warrington Borough Council, will engineer, educate and train road users.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue have strong community relations and will use this to their advantage in engaging the public into creating safer roads.
The Partnership's joint role is to reduce the number of people being hurt on our roads and to create an environment where anti-social behaviour is condemned by the public and the safer choices are made because value is seen in doing so.
